Team BBP's Gratitude Journal

Updated: Jan 30

December 30th, 2023

Reflecting on the Beyond Beauty Project journey, I am deeply grateful for the incredible team that has been by my side. From the early supporters who helped shape the project's foundation to the current team members who bring so much passion and creativity, each one has played a crucial role. The collaborative spirit and unwavering dedication of this team have been the driving force behind our shared success. Every individual, past and present, has left an indelible mark on the Beyond Beauty Project and my heart, and I am genuinely thankful for the unique contributions each has made. It's not just a project; it's a testament to the power of women supporting women and the beauty that emerges when talented and passionate individuals come together.

Thank you to each and every one of you!

Xx, Bridgett

Here are the beauties behind the scenes ...

My name is Adrienne Metzig, and I'm thankful for the opportunity to partner with BBP. I am passionate about helping others and believe in trying to be better than I was the day before. Although I'm a native Texan and earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Texas Tech and ACU, respectively, I've called Colorado home for the last 17 years while also traveling the country in my RV. I recently parked the RV after rescuing a litter of puppies.

What’s your definition of beauty?

Beauty to me is treating others with kindness, advocating for those who have lost hope, and lifting others up to believe in themselves.

What are your favorite wellness products?

Two of my favorite go-to items are: "The Untethered Soul" by Michael Singer and Alastin hydratint moisturizer with sunscreen.

What is your favorite part of working at BBP?

I love working with Bridgett and her amazing team. It's a privilege to be part of BBP's mission and be able to support people who are on the path of learning, growing, and loving more.

Hi, I'm Jill! I am currently a senior at the University of Delaware, studying Public Relations with minors in Advertising and Entrepreneurship. I have a passion for storytelling and interpersonal communication. Outside of academics, I love to practice traditional yoga, be outdoors, and, of course, take extra care of myself mentally, physically, and spiritually!

Jillian - Social Media and Marketing Coordinator

What’s your definition of beauty?

My definition of beauty is exploring and understanding your authentic self as you are. I believe we are always on a journey, and allowing yourself to ebb and flow, learn from challenges you endure, and accept yourself every step of the way is beauty in itself. This includes how you treat yourself, show up for others, and accept people and things as they are. Beauty is found in everyone and everything!

What are your favorite wellness products?

My favorite wellness products are essential oils, specifically DoTerra Wild Orange and Frankincense together, as well as Vetiver. There is truly an essential oil for everything; they are so versatile! My favorite books for mental health are written by Morgan Richard Oliver—I highly recommend them! The all-time best product I use to take care of myself physically is organic golden castor oil. It is truly amazing how many benefits are found in this one oil.

What is your favorite part of working at BBP?

I love working at BBP because of Bridgett; she is a true inspiration to me and influences the work that I do. Having the opportunity to work closely with her has changed my perspective on the world. Bridgett has taught me so much, from the depths of the patriarchy to sharing stories from her journey to social media marketing—we learn a lot from one another! It has been an incredible experience working with Bridgett and the uplifting work atmosphere she has cultivated for the team.

What’s your definition of beauty?

Beauty makes you feel. It evokes emotion. It isn’t visual, it’s emotional. Whether I’m looking at a painting or a human, I know there is beauty when I feel something, when I’m moved.

Ana Khadivi - Graphic Artist

My name is KC and I recently graduated from Fairfield University double majoring in Marketing and Management as well as a fashion marketing concentration and a mathematics minor! Since graduating I have moved to NYC where I can witness the pinnacle of the fashion and beauty world firsthand! I have BBP to thank for enlightening me about the true beauty of womanhood as well as the strength in being our true authentic self always! Working alongside a team of inspiring, intelligent women was an unforgettable experience I am so grateful to have been a part of.

What’s your definition of beauty?

I define beauty not simply as one's face or body but as their laughter or smile. Beauty is the light that emits from oneself as they achieve happiness in their true being. This authenticity allows one's soul to shine and this inside achievement translates on the outside. And that is beautiful.

What are your favorite wellness products?

Some products that contribute to my wellness are lots and lots of candles (specifically Maison Marcella's Replica, By the Fireplace) alongside a good book (maybe rereading my torn copy of Little Women for the thousandth time or some other notable favorites of the year like Dolly Alderton’s Everything I Know About Love). I have recently been loving Korean beauty products in my skincare routine, such as the Mediheal Madecassoside Pads and Abib Protective Lip Balm.

What was your favorite part of working at BBP?

My favorite part of working at BBP was seeing the effect Bridgett’s work had on her audience. Reading the comments across our social media platforms was always heart-lifting, as well as hearing about the classes she taught to today’s youth was amazing. I feel as though I learned so much listening to every podcast episode, that it truly bettered myself and my wellbeing, so reading the comments of others agreeing was empowering in and of itself.

What’s your definition of beauty?

Beauty is what is found in anything that a person feels love or compassion towards whether that be an experience, person, object, or emotion. Beauty is really diverse and can mean something different for everyone, but when it comes down to it I think beauty and feeling beautiful stems from love.

Beauty, to me, is to live an authentic and genuine life. It is a reflection of self-love and embracement of oneself; it is more than a person’s physical attributes.

What are your favorite wellness products?

There are so many wellness products I live by. For skincare, I love using a gua sha for lymphatic drainage every morning, or an ice roller to reduce morning puffiness. Recently, I have started using Paula’s Choice exfoliation 2% BHA, and have been noticing great results. Kheil’s moisturizers have always worked for my sensitive skin and I love anything Sunday Riley. Within the past few months, I have begun gratitude journaling every night, and often re-read the book, Atomic Habits. Sometimes I will use coloring books to de-stress and lower my screen time!

I loved my time working at BBP. Bridgett created such a cooperative, trusting, and inclusive environment for everybody to thrive in. All members were equally heard, and able to contribute. Beauty is everywhere. It can be a person, place, thing, or feeling. Beauty comes from within, and it is the knowledge of and confidence in oneself that creates true beauty, the kind that isn’t subject to anyone else’s ideals or opinions.

What’s your definition of beauty?

Beauty is not a physical component to me but something you feel in your soul once you finally love yourself fully and completely. Beauty is not being afraid of taking up too much space in this big world. The more in tune I am with myself and my feelings, the more beautiful I feel.

What are your favorite wellness products?

Some of my favorite products include crystals which help me focus in on different aspects of meditation. I also use skincare as a way to feel more centered; connecting to myself with the most basic needs. A cooling face mask or a caffeine serum helps me feel like a human being.

What was your favorite part of working at BBP?

My favorite part was helping Bridgett start this journey and just learning from her strength and grace. Figuring out what this company really was going to mean to women as well as changing the status quo on beauty are still ideals I carry with me, even if I am no longer working there.
